The idea

The orb is the timer

A progress bar tells you how far along you are. The orb shows you — it starts turbulent and condenses as the session runs down, picking up a slow pulse in the final minute. You can glance instead of read, which is the right relationship for something meant to sit at the edge of your attention.

Two moods

Focus is an ink room where the orb is the only light source. On a break the whole page lifts to bone and the orb becomes a lit jade solid. Everything cross-fades together — background, orb, type — so the change reads as one gesture rather than a theme switch.

Sound, synthesised

No audio files. The ambient bed is a low open chord under a soft filter, each partial breathing on its own slow cycle so the chord never settles into a pattern you can latch onto. Deliberately tonal: filtered noise reads as wind, which is atmosphere rather than focus.

Nothing leaves your device

Doro has no accounts, no network layer, no analytics and no third‑party code. Your settings and session live on your phone and are never transmitted anywhere. There is nothing to opt out of.
